last night's book club was really fun! about a dozen bibliophiles gathered together snuggly in tommy's studio and we all had a rousing dialogue regarding carver's original text v. his editor's final cut. needless to say, the cupcakes were a hit. tommy was also thoughtful to serve gin & tonics, the drink copiously consumed by the characters in our chosen story. everyone in the group was so wonderfully intelligent and witty, jen and i are excited to attend regularly.

about last night

coooooolllll... i always meant to go and join tommy's book club... but i was so busy with work when he started it that i was never able to read the materials. i especially wanted to go when he had one about orpheus... i was going to bring stravinsky's ballet to listen to, but, i never made it. i even printed out all of the selections, but got wrapped up in a rehearsal that i had to oversee. ummmmm yeah...
